It’s not easy to shift the focus away from Donald Trump.
Especially not on the day he is sworn in as President of the United States (for the second time) and the day he grants pardons to those convicted of assaulting police officers, January 6, 2021.
But Lauren Sanchez really tried last Monday!
Engaged to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Sanchez was on the dais alongside other very wealthy people at Trump's inauguration on January 20 in Washington DC.
As you can see above and below, she wore a rather low-cut top that caught the attention of many social media users – as well as many rather well-known names.
“I usually love her outfits, but the inauguration was a huge failure. The outfit looked trashy. I think Lauren generally has more class,” one critic wrote on Instagram, for example.
Hell, even Fox News reporter Megyn Kelly criticized the look during an episode of her eponymous SiriusXM show, saying on air:
“Have some dignity and respect for your surroundings in your situation. No one should talk about your breasts. Sorry. They should talk about the inauguration.
Sanchez doesn't seem too fazed by the criticism, however.
She has since gone ahead and liked various comments, such as, “Girl you ate that inaugural look, don't mind the haters.”
Elsewhere, another message assured Lauren that the only opinion that “matters” is that of the Amazon president, adding: “THAT GIRL.”
Even Kris Jenner showed her appreciation for Lauren's Starlight Ball gown look, writing alongside several orange heart emojis, “STUNNING!!!”
Likewise, Brooks Nader also responded as follows regarding Lauren's fashion choice: “Belle of the ball!”
Finally, Sanchez gave a Like to a fan who wrote about her daring ensemble:
“You are truly an inspiration to me and I’m sure to many women.”
We're not sure why that would be the case, but hey, who are we to judge?!?
