Does Andy Cohen want Lisa Vanderpump back The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?
The answer is more complex than a simple “yes” or “no”.
Bravoholics love Lisa. Even with her internalized and brazen misogyny, she is a pillar of the Housewives franchise…even if she hasn't been a part of it for years.
What does Andy really think about this?
Andy Cohen is a longtime fan of Lisa Vanderpump, but…
During the episode of Tuesday January 21 Andy Cohen live on SiriusXMAndy Cohen Addressed Rumor He's Trying to Bring Lisa Vanderpump Back RHOBA.
“It was said everywhere that I was trying to bring back Lisa Vanderpump. The (Real) Housewives of Beverly Hills“, he admitted.
As executive producer of the series, Andy could have a say in making that happen. But it doesn't just depend on him.
“Let me reiterate my abject love for Lisa Vanderpump,” Andy Cohen said. “But I don’t know where the rumor came from.”
He then admitted: “I don’t see her coming back to this show. And Andy's co-host John Hill couldn't agree more.
“I don’t even know why it would be a rumor. She doesn’t need to go back,” Hill said. “She has her own thing.”
Andy Cohen noted that 'RHOBH' casting could be a problem for Lisa Vanderpump
“She, Dorit (Kemsley) and Kyle (Richards) are, you know, I guess she's kind of friends with Garcelle (Beauvais),” Andy suggested, thinking out loud. Lisa has beef with Dorit and Kyle.
He bluntly added that Lisa probably has “no desire” to work with her on-screen enemies, and that they have “no desire to interact” with her. Not as reality TV comrades, anyway.
Of course, Lisa was part of RHOBA when it launched in 2010. Only Kyle has remained a mainstay, although no Housewife has ever had spin-off success like Lisa's. Vanderpump Rules And Villa Vanderpump.
As we mentioned, Lisa clashed with Kyle Richards and with Dorit Kemsley. It was all about Puppygate.
At first, it was just Lisa's fury that Dorit's adopted dog would end up in an anti-kill shelter, no matter how many steps it took to get there.
However, when Kyle questioned Lisa – asking if she leaked the story herself – the two OGs clashed. Lisa felt rather above.
Sometimes mutual hatred can be quite playful
Andy Cohen explained that Kyle and Lisa apparently have a running joke – charging each other when they meet in public.
“I like to feel like once a year, Kyle meets Vanderpump somewhere and they kind of send each other their bill or their drink,” Andy described. “I think Vanderpump paid Kyle's bill one time or sent him his bill.”
Most of us, when we hate someone, would not want to interact with them at all. But sometimes people who argue with the audience on reality TV have a much stranger dynamic.
