Man who killed 3 girls at Taylor Swift-themed event sentenced

British teenager who murdered three young girls in a Taylor SwiftTheme dance class will spend decades in prison.

Axel Rudakubana18 years old, who pleaded guilty to the July murders in the English town of Southport, shortly before his scheduled trial date, will serve at least 52 years in prison.

The teenager, who was 17 when he fatally stabbed Baby King6, Elsie Dot Stancombe7, and Alice da Silva Aguiar9-year-old, and injured 10 other people, was not present inside Liverpool Crown Court on January 23 when his sentence was read out due to an explosion earlier in the hearing during to which he complained of not feeling well, which led to his evacuation.

In addition to three murder charges, Rudakubana also pleaded guilty to 10 counts of attempted murder, one charge of possession of a knife, as well as possession of an Al-Qaeda training manual and the production of ricin, a deadly poison.

Judge Julien Oie said during sentencing that Rudakubana was not sentenced to life in prison because he was under 18 at the time of the attack, although he added: “It is likely that he will not will never be released.”
