Meghan Markle's Nickname Revealed by Spotify Contributors

Meghan Markle has been in the spotlight lately following a divisive Vanity Fair article that included allegations of “bullying” and “mean girl” behavior.

A royal correspondent has now claimed that former associates gave the Duchess the nickname during the days of the Spotify Podcast, likening her to a manipulative TV character.

After resuming bullying claims, sources close to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have dismissed the reports, noting how “upsetting” it has been for the royal couple.

In an interview with Fox News DigitalSlavery Royal correspondent Neil Schon revealed that Meghan earned the inconspicuous moniker by working with Spotify on her podcast Archetypes.

Sean claims former Spotify employees dubbed the Duchess of Sussex “Eva” in a nod to the 1955 film Queen Bee, starring Joan Crawford.

He said: “Former staff members…told me that they decided to christen her 'EVA' and that was used as a warning signal to let people know she was either coming or on the Warpath.”

Shawn added that it “wasn't a catchy pet nickname,” explaining that it “came from the 1955 camp classic 'Queen Bee,' starring the leading Diva… herself—Joan Crawford… That's because, like Joan's character ( Eva Phillips), she cuts her victims to pieces.

However, Meghan was apparently unaware of the moniker during her time at Spotify.

Sean's remarks came shortly after Vanity Fair Published a critical cover story detailing the life of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in California.

According to Sean, “there were a lot of things that weren't covered.”

He told the News Outlet that “the backstage staff (found) Meghan really hard to deal with, simply because of her… mood swings and how well certain aspects of her career (were)… (they) thought she was quite heavy and bossy, therefore decided (to give her) the nickname of this character… she was a high camp without realizing it.

Sources also claimed that Meghan insisted that the collaboration only be done with “the person above”, emphasizing her status as a duchess and a member of the royal family.

“When that person is not around, they have to be reminded that they are dealing with someone who is a duchess and, more importantly, a member of the British royal family,” Sean is understood to have said.

He continued: “It worked in the beginning when people were … excited about Meghan's presence.

According to Sean, Meghan wasn't the only subject of backstage chatter. Prince Harry was reportedly given the nickname “Tim Nice but Dim” after a well-known British TV sitcom character.

Sean noted that, like Meghan, Harry was also told he was unaware of the nickname given to him by staff.

Several former employees who worked with the couple were spoken to Vanity Fair and shared candid accounts of their experiences.

They described Meghan as initially “warm and efficient”, promoting a “sense of professional camaraderie”.

However, this positive attitude reportedly changed when things went wrong – “often at Meghan and Harry's own insistence”.

In such moments, Meghan was described as “cold and reserved towards the person she held responsible”.

Kinsey Schofield, host of the “To Di For Daily” Podcast, also shared her faith claims surrounding Meghan's alleged treatment of staff.

“Ex-Sussex staff, potential Meghan Love-Bombs and staff staying in line,” Schofield said. “But when you step away from her vision, she eradicates you. When you're out in the cold, you become obsessed with working your way back into her good graces. Late nights, going the extra mile and raining praise on Meghan and her ideas.”

Talking to Fox News DigitalSchofield explained that she was not surprised by the ongoing allegations of bullying during Markle's time as a working royal.

“They're probably true,” she said. “Royal author Valentine Low told me that former Sussex staff approached him about the speech when they heard about Meghan's Oprah interview (in 2021). They wanted to make sure their version of events was out there.”

Schofield explained that “ex-employees are watching what they think is a really false performance in an attempt to change public perception, and it makes them angry, so they're speaking out.”

Following Vanity Fair's scathing article about the Sussexes, a source close to the couple revealed Times that they found the allegations “disturbing”.

The Sussexes are believed to believe that the bombshell plot “has taken a turn for the worse”.
