Trace Cyrus Slams Her Celebrity Dad in Scathing Open Letter: You Need Help!

Trace Cyrus called out her famous father.

In a lengthy, scathing and personal open letter shared on Instagram, Miley Cyrus' 35-year-old brother addressed his father, Billy Ray, directly.

And hid absolutely nothing.

“From my earliest memories, all I remember is being obsessed with you and thinking you were the coolest person ever,” wrote Trace, who was adopted by the musician when she was a child.

“I wanted to be like you. The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life. Sadly, the man I so desperately wanted to be, as I barely recognize him now.

Trace is also linked to Brandi, 37, Braison, 30, and Noah, 24.

“It seems like this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone except you,” Billy Ray’s son continued.

“The girls and I have been really worried about you for years, but you've pushed us all away.”

Billy Ray Cyrus performed in Washington, D.C., at Donald Trump's presidential inauguration on Monday, making headlines at the time for his massive meltdown following alleged technical difficulties.

“As I write this with tears in my eyes, I hope you realize that this message only comes from a place of love and that you also fear that the world will lose you far too soon,” Trace continued , implying that his parent had a drug problem and adding:

“I don't know exactly what you're struggling with, but I think I have a pretty good idea and I'd love to help you if you open up and get some help. You know how to reach me.

The day after the Liberty Ball, on January 20, Billy Ray claimed his performance was affected by technical difficulties, telling People Magazine in a statement:

“I would not have missed the honor of participating in this event whether my microphone, guitar and monitors worked or not. I was there because President Donald J. Trump invited me.

“I had a great time at the Liberty Ball last night and I've learned over all these years, when the producer says, 'Here we go,' you have to entertain people even if the equipment is going to hell. I was there for the people and we had a great time. It's called rock n roll!!!

After Billy Ray's separation from his wife Tish, it's not really a secret that he is estranged from his children.

To conclude his social media post, Trace included an older photo of a young Trace shaking his father's hand on stage.

“Until that day comes, I will continue to pray for you,” the young man wrote.
