The reality star posted an emotional post on her Instagram handle as the 12th month of the year began. “First of the 'big' holidays without you honey. We all gathered in NC to celebrate together and held your photo by our side,” the mom of six began.
She noted that they laughed at Garrison's “sense of humor and told so many stories” about his life and times.
“We ate, played games and enjoyed each other's company. Now everyone is going home and tomorrow life will be back to normal. But I feel you are close,” the mother of six admitted in the closing paragraph.

Fans instantly took to her comments section to share stories of their grief and how they overcame their pain. This commenter wrote:

News of Garrison's death quickly spread to the media, prompting Cody and Jenelle to release a joint notification as confirmation.
A post shared on their respective social media accounts read: “Cody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy, Robert Garrison Brown.”
The TLC star described the late reality star as a “bright spot in the lives of all who knew him,” admitting that “his loss will leave such a gaping hole in our lives that it takes our breath away.”

Garrison Brown's suicide was caused by alcohol poisoning
Although the Coconino County Medical Examiner confirmed in an autopsy that Garrison died of a gunshot wound to the head, another factor played a role up to that point.
According to postmortem results, the tragic death of the 25-year-old was caused by ethanol intoxication, also known as alcohol poisoning. Reports from his blood test confirmed that his alcohol level was 0.307% based on his hip blood test and 0.370% based on his vitreous test.
The numbers reported in the reviews exceed the US legal limit of 0.08%, while anything above 0.40% is considered potentially fatal. Traces of caffeine were also found in Garrison's system at the time of his death.
