The exes have yet to resolve the Chateau Miraval feud
Pitt and Jolie, however, have not resolved their legal dispute over the Chateau Miraval winery they once co-owned.
In 2022, the actor sued Jolie over the sale of his stake in a French winery, claiming she breached a previous agreement that gave him the right of first refusal.
According to People magazinehe said Jolie intentionally “tried to harm him” by selling her half of the company and also sought to damage the company's reputation by selling it to a “stranger.”
“Jolie proceeded with and then secretly completed the alleged sale, intentionally keeping Pitt in the dark and knowingly violating Pitt's contractual rights,” the filing said.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt could settle the winery case in court
According to Daily maila source close to the matter said the exes are open to settling their Chateau Miraval dispute through a jury trial or mediation.
However, Jolie might be ready to end the case as soon as possible. An insider shared that she “has tried very hard to be light after a dark time” and “doesn't talk bad about her in public or in private.”
“Kids have grown up seeing that some people have so much power and privilege that their voices don't matter. Their pain doesn't count,” the source added. “They've wanted her to speak up for herself, to stand up for herself over the years, but she's reminding them to focus on changing the law, not telling public stories.”
