'Summer House' star Paige DeSorbo reveals she was in an abusive relationship at 19!

Summer house star Paige DeSorbo doesn't hold back when she talks about her difficult past relationships and how they have completely changed her approach to love.

On her Giggly Squad podcast, Paige opened up about a physically and emotionally abusive relationship she experienced when she was 19 or 20, which she says changed her twenties.

“I probably became the most insecure when I was 19 or 20. I dated a really physically and emotionally abusive man, and that changed the whole course of my dating life in my twenties.” Paige revealed.

“And then I was looking for chaos, and I was looking for pure … adrenaline and emotion, and I thought it was so much fun and it was so crazy.” Paige admitted that her experience led her into a cycle of unhealthy relationships, each one a little better than the last but still damaging.

“I just filled this pattern until I was 26… (I) dated someone (and I thought,) 'Okay, that's normal.' And I was like, 'No… I can't do that either,'” she continued, “And so it's hard not to look at myself as a girl and think I'm the problem.”

Reflecting on that time in my life, Paige said she eventually realized the toxic relationship wasn't her fault.

“I just connected with certain people who ended up being 'made fun of,'” she shared, adding that she felt “brainwashed” by the abuse she endured during her years.

Now 32, Paige is moving into another chapter of her life after a recent divorce Southern charm star Craig Conover. A couple who started dating when Paige was 29, announced their divorce after three years together.

How Paige moving forward, she uses her past experiences to guide her toward healthier relationships and personal growth. Fans will no doubt be watching as she navigates the new chapter of her life.
