The reign of podcast content continued into 2024 and there was absolutely no shortage of people saying things into microphones that would then be uploaded to the internet to be consumed, debated, and stirred up.
That said, not all podcasts are binge fodder. There are many modules that are entertaining, inspiring, intriguing and engaging the audience in a way that leaves them wanting more ear candy every week. In honor of quality audio listening experiences, BOSSIP wants to recognize the best podcasts of the year.
Considering how eye-opening 2024 has been, we'd be remiss not to credit Katt Williams' appearance in Shannon Sharpe's film. Shay Shay Club which was published on January 3, 2024. At the time of writing, the nearly three-hour interview has 86 million views and counting.
Another podcast highlight of the year was the announcement that Mandii and WeezyWTF are rebranding their wildly popular Fucking decisions podcast into a more financially friendly product called Decisions Decisions. The pod duo held a live event at New York's Sony Hall to make it clear that they weren't going anywhere but the show was about to change for the better.

During an interview with Sexyy Red, Angel asks the St. Louis rapper to spill the beans on what's been happening in his DMs.
Another rapper who's gotten into the podcast game this year is Fayetteville, North Carolina's J. Cole, who launched his Inevitable miniseries that takes a deep dive into his career alongside his longtime friend and manager Ibrahim Hamad and their visual collaborator Scott Lazer. Cole offers insight into his childhood and his dream of becoming a rap star in New York. The stories he shares about Jay Z, Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar have fans salivating. A superb listen.
