After booking the role in Happys Place, Emma Kenny called the cheeky Steve Howe

After booking a role Reba McEntiredaughter further Happy's Place, Emma Kenny received support and meaningful advice from none other than her Shameless costar Steve Howie.

“I was very excited to be able to participate Happy's Place and work with Reba. I worked with Steve Hovey for a long time, who also worked with Reb for a long time. So when I got into it, I called him,” Kenny, 25, said Us Weekly. “He had nothing but amazing things to say about her, and he wasn't wrong.”

Kenny had a good time working with McEntire, 69, who previously shared the screen with Howe, 47 Reba sitcom. “She has such a kind, generous and welcoming energy, which is very special when you join an established team to feel that way,” noted Kenny. “So I was very lucky to have it.”

After sharing the screen with McEntire, Howie starred alongside Kenny in the hit TV series Shameless. Howie went back to his roots with a guest role Happy's Place earlier this season that set the scene a possible reunion screen between him and Kenny.

“I would love to get back on set with Steve. He is one of my favorite people and the funniest person,” the actress addressed We. “He's definitely kind of an uncle to me. And I would love to do scenes with him and Reb. It would be so much fun, honestly.”

For now, Kenny is celebrating the opportunity handled McEntire after bringing The role of Gracie in the Friday, January 10 episode of NBC's latest comedy.

“I definitely felt a lot of responsibility going into this project and playing Reba's daughter. She is such an icon and such a recognized performer,” Kenny continued. “When I started filming, the show had already aired a few episodes. So obviously I looked at what I could and tried to prepare in that regard. I definitely wanted to come and try to do some honor to her daughter's hero.”

Part of Kenny's preparation meant to develop one's opinion about character.

“She's very tough and no-nonsense. Gracie definitely has a lot of grit and, I would say, determination,” she shared. “But I definitely wanted to give her heart, and I wanted the audience to see why she has such a tough exterior.”

Kenny continued, “I always do a character analysis that I write down. Sometimes I choose a zodiac sign for a character, as strange as it sounds. This gives me a little insight into this character. I chose (Gracie) to be a Capricorn. I felt she had a point.

While Kenny would love to reprise her role as Gracie, she'd also love the chance to reunite with her former co-stars — including him Shameless family.

“I miss working with all of them. It's always a sad and maybe nostalgic feeling when you wrap up a show you've been working on for years, because it's likely never going to be the exact same cast. Although it does The Conners (ABC) gave me hope,” she admitted. “In the sense that they brought back literally the entire crew from the original show from the '80s and '90s. But I've been really lucky to work with such wonderful people who I've really developed strong bonds with. I'd love to get back on set with any of to them.
