Alison Holker has released an official statement after an intense few days of being a hot topic. We're only halfway through the week, but this is the second time she's addressed social media concerns about intimate details she revealed about life with her late husband and his alleged drug addiction. Steven 'TWitch' Boss died in December 2022 from self-inflicted harm. He was 40 years old.

In her statement, she spoke about the upcoming release of her book, “That Far Away: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light.” She reached out to Stephen's family, friends and supporters on Instagram Stories and shared that she hopes to help another family with her book. She admitted that she will “never really know what happened” and that she is trying to piece together what she can.
“If you decide to read the book, I hope you will see that my intention is to celebrate the love and life I shared with Stephen and our three beautiful children, as well as the more complex aspects of both of our lives. I hope that by sharing our full story, I can help someone else who might see themselves or a loved one in Steven.
Alison added that she hopes sharing can help another family “catch some red flags” she missed before it's too late. Holker also explained that her writing was based on two years of conversations with the National Alliance on Mental Illness and Defense Line (the mental health community). Proceeds from the book will benefit Move with Kindness, her foundation in honor of her husband. Swipe further to view the entire announcement.
“I hope we don't have to lose another husband, brother, father or friend to suicide. I believe that if Steven had a choice, he would choose to tell his story if it meant saving even one life. Love to all those who have supported our family over these many years.
Which led to Alison Holker's second statement
From the looks of it, Alison seems to have already started the press for the book next month. Since then, social media has emerged PEOPLE let sit down with Alison earlier this week. In it, she finds herself finding drugs in Steven Boss's closet while cleaning it out and choosing a funeral dress.
Social media wasn't feeling the fair hour, and neither was Stephen Boss' alleged cousin named Dariel. A relative took to X (officially Twitter) to accuse Alison of keeping him and Witch's children away from the family and making loved ones sign NDAs about his funeral. Dariel also accused Holker of trying to tarnish Steven's legacy.
Alison has yet to approach her cousin directly. However, she responded to another user who said she was embarrassing Twitch with her PEOPLE interview. “Just trying to help people feel safe and ask for help and support,” she wrote in the comments section.
