Alvin And The Chipmunks had a horror crossover with a werewolf

With his new film The Wolf Man, Leigh Kannell becomes the latest filmmaker to take on the titular shape-shifting classic Universal Monster on screen. In his review of Vannell's rethinking/The film's director, Jeremy Mathai, observed that the film “reinvents the title character and the associated curse as a moody, atmospheric thriller that cares as much (if not more) about the family at the center of this tragedy as it does about the actual scares.”

Part of what makes werewolf movies unique is that they're not just monsters, they're also people who transform from monster to human.
