The basketball player graces the cover of the publication's latest issue alongside Olympic hurdler Gabby Thomas.

The ladies are two of many athletes cited for the fusion of sports and fashion and for their individual styles.

For Angel, she told writer Maya Singer that she always had a passion for both.

“It’s always been both: basketball and fashion,” Reese says. Basketball is a family affair, she explains; his mother and grandmother played. And when she was growing up in Baltimore, sports were everywhere.

“But I was also a fashion girl from a young age. Like: let me find this picture my mom sent. » she continues, digging through her bag for a photo of herself, aged five, looking adorable in a pink dress and tiara, her almond-shaped eyes bright.

“I was always in my mom’s closet, putting her stuff in. I loved carrying a handbag. Hair done. I wanted to look put together. I always do it.

She also shared that Tyra Banks and her iconic reality show played a role in the evolution of her style.

“I was watching America's Next Top Model with Tyra and practice my walk in the living room,” says Reese, who would like to one day model in a real fashion show.

The athlete posted a sexy photo of herself in a revealing NYE dress on her personal page and appears to have immediately deleted the post along with her entire account.

It reactivated shortly after.

Angel was receiving incessant criticism since he rose to fame as a college player, and some fans are speculating this negative reaction may be the reason why she left Instagram.

“The one who hates Angel Reese and made her deactivate her Instagram. I hope you all have a terrible year, spreading hate for no reason because you're all bitter and have no better thing to do than spew nasty words from behind a screen gtfoh,” one user said on x.

Others wanted to know why people seemed determined not to want to see her embrace her beauty.

“My whole thing with Angel Reese is what y’all got against her being a bad bitch???” said another user.

In the middle of Wednesday Vogue Out of cover, Angel sent a sarcastic message to detractors telling him to “hide away.”

“I covered and gave you a COVERGIRL,” the WNBA player wrote.

BLOOP!

Along the same lines, Angel will participate in the inaugural season of the 3v3 women's professional league, Unrivaled. 36 of the WNBA's top talents are expected to participate in this one-of-a-kind experience.

“Being able to be in Miami from January to March, without having to go abroad. Nobody wants to go overseas,” Reese said of the opportunity. “A lot of us never want to go overseas, but some people unfortunately have to go overseas, so being able to make six figures in three months, being able to be housed in Miami, just being able to get better.”

Unrivaled It starts this month!
