He was only 46 years old.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of Paul Danan at just 46 years old,” the company wrote on Instagram (via BBC).
“Known for his television presence, exceptional talent and unwavering kindness, Paul was a beacon of light to so many. His premature departure will leave irreplaceable voids in the lives of all those who knew him.
“During this difficult time, we ask for respect and privacy from Paul’s family, friends and colleagues. No further comments will be made at this time.
While still a teenager, Paul took part in the long-running British soap opera Hollyoaks.
He played Sol Patrick in the series from 1997 to 2001.
Danan later became a regular on reality shows such as Celebrity Love Island And Celebrity Big Brother. Oddly, another former UK Celebrity Big Brothersinger Linda Nolan, also died this week.
Paul is survived by his eight-year-old son, Deniro.
The cause of death of Paul Danan
The exact cause of Danan's death is unknown at this time.
But his death comes just months after he was hospitalized due to respiratory failure that he said was linked to his vaping addiction.
“I'm upstairs taking a drag on a vape, then all of a sudden I lost my breath and collapsed,” he told the British tabloid. The Sun (via Variety).
“My family called an ambulance and started giving me CPR, then the police came and took over before the paramedics took me to the hospital,” Danan continued.
“I was on a machine in intensive care and ended up with pneumonia. My family was told that I might not make it through the night. I'm so lucky.
It is unclear whether the issues that caused this incident also played a role in Danan's death.
