Brenda Song introduced Macaulay Culkin to this grocery store

Macaulay Culkin and Brenda's songrelationship is filled with cute twists and turns, but one of the funniest moments came thanks to a surprising first.

The couple, who first met on the set of Changeland, began sparking romance rumors in 2017 after being spotted on a double date at Knott's Berry Farm in California.

Since then, Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song have kept most of their relationship private, but from time to time they offer fans a glimpse into their world.

In a recent interview with Bustling On Jan. 7, Song revealed how Costco became the unexpected setting for a heartfelt memory with Culkin.

“I had just dropped my son off at preschool and was with Mack. We were sitting in Costco and it wasn't open yet,” Song recalled. “Mac was sitting there going, 'Baby'—he'd never been to a Costco before we started dating. “We're sitting at a Costco. I wear Crocs. Costco isn't even open yet. You have tamed the beast, my love.''

The moment was both hilarious and tender, capturing the down-to-earth dynamic between the two stars. Song added with a laugh, “And I said, 'How dare you, sir!'”

Their Costco outing took an unexpected turn when Song received a career-changing phone call. “I get a call from an agent saying, 'Hey, I've got this really great script for you.' Do you have a second? what are you doing And I said, “Oh, I'm sitting in the Costco parking lot before it opens.” She says, “I have to find you a job.”

The couple welcomed their first son, Dakota, in April 2021 and their second son, Carson, in December 2022. In January 2022, their engagement was confirmed after Song was spotted wearing an engagement ring in Beverly Hills. “They are and always have been very much in love with each other,” the source said Us Weekly at that time.

In December 2023, Culkin received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where he gave a warm shout-out to Song during his acceptance speech. “Last but not least, I'd like to thank Brenda. You're absolutely everything. You're my champion,” Culkin said. “You're the only person happier than me today. You are not only the best woman I have ever known, but also the best person I have ever known.

Recalling that “special” moment, Song said, “We (the kids) couldn't miss it.”

“Dak was so scared of all the cameras,” she said. “That's one of the reasons we keep them out (of the spotlight). They didn't understand what was going on.”

Starting at age 16, Song spent six years portraying the lovable and hilariously no-nonsense socialite London Tipton in The Suite Life of Zeck & Cody and its sequel The Suite Life on Deck, a role in which the dialogue was, of course, G .- rated.

“I think people who come from a Disney Channel background are almost scared. It feels strange to see you like this,” she said Bustling. “But I'll be honest. I think LA 'f-ck' is a verb. It's a noun. It's an adjective. It's natural in my language. Ever since I had kids, I've had to look after myself a lot. People like to say that Valley Girls say “like.” I think we say “f–ck” as much as “like.”

A few years ago, Song revealed that she and Culkin had been navigate parenthood without a nanny, but she's thankful for her strong support system that helps her juggle parenting and her acting career.

“My fiancé and I are very hands-on,” she mentioned Cutout about upbringing. “We don't have a nanny, but my mom has been here with us since my son was born. He's 9 months old now.”

She added: “I think when you and your partner have children, especially in the first few months, you don't have the patience to be polite to each other. It's really important to be communicative when you need help. Instead of assigning responsibilities, we just drive each other crazy. I'll put my son down and my partner says, 'Let me feed the animals and make dinner.'

Speaking to Bustle, the former Disney star recalled what it was like starting a family with the “Home Alone” star.

“I had two pregnancies in one calendar year. It was a lot,” she said. “When I became a mother, it made me question a lot: my place in the industry, my place as a woman, age in the industry, societal pressures about what beauty is, what being young is. Things I had never questioned before.”

She added: “And my priority is my kids too, so I can't just uproot my life and go live in Bulgaria for nine months to make a movie. I was like, 'Does acting still fit into my life?'”
