Besides all the cool action scenes and creatures, the scares are one of the best things Buffy the Vampire Slayer was all romantic melodrama with our favorite characters. in a way Buffy's naughtiest couple were Xander and Willow, childhood besties who only realized their feelings for each other after they both started dating other people. This led to a messy romance that seemed to spill over into the real world: According to Willow actress Alyson Hannigan, she and Xander actor Nicholas Brandon once dated.

Revelation that this naughty Buffy the couple, who were smitten in real life, came about when Hannigan appeared on the Bravo television show Watch What's On live. During the show, host Andy Cohen gave the actor a very provocative command: “tell us one thing Buffy a connection we didn't know about yet. In response, she gave an equally provocative answer: “I think Nick (Brandon) and I might have kissed once, like, off camera.”
For Buffy fans who cheered Willow and Xander as the show's naughtiest (and cutest) couple, this tee is understandably amazing. After all, the show made it clear that their characters weren't meant to be together… Not only was Willow later revealed to be a lesbian, but Xander also met the love of his life (and almost wife…damn you, season 6) Anya in the same season. So there aren't nearly as many fans who wanted these respective actors to hook up as, say, fans who wanted to see Sarah Michelle Gellar and her brooding on-screen beau David Boreanaz hook up in real life.
However, not much Buffy fans can't deny that Hannigan and Brandon's characters made a cute couple during their naughty little romance. Part of that came from the show's clever writing, of course, but part of it came from the cast's killer chemistry. It sounds like the chemistry led to the kiss, and maybe more: In an interview with Cohen, Hannigan followed up the cheesy admission of kissing Brandon in real life by coolly stating, “He might have had breasts or something.”
In a messed up world Buffy Gossip is relatively healthy after learning that the show's most unlikely on-screen couple have briefly dated off-screen. Gossip is sometimes a bit nastier. For example, during Watch What's On liveshe told Cohen that her co-star and titular character, Sarah Michelle Gellar, grew to hate the show during Season 3. She insisted it was because Gellar was balancing those acting responsibilities with a burgeoning big-screen career and the pressures of fame, but her words led. Hannigan and Gellar have been rumored for years to have had a nasty and long-running feud.
Speaking of Buffy couples, while Alyson Hannigan and Nicholas Brandon only interacted once how i met your mother the actor got pretty serious with another actor from her vampire slaying days. Hannigan eventually married Alexis Denisoff, who made a cameo appearance Buffy as Wesley Wyndam-Pryce before becoming a regular on the spinoff show Angel. From fooling around with her on-screen romance partner to marrying a wise and decent Watcher, Hannigan seems to resemble Willow in one important way: she's very rarely naughty.
