Busta Rhymes has reportedly turned himself in to police following an incident in New York where he allegedly insulted his assistant, Dashiell Gablefor possibly using his phone at work. TMZ reports that the rapper is facing multiple charges following an assault incident on January 10th.

Details on Busta Rhymes' alleged assault with his assistant
According to New York Postpolice say Busta Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Smith Jr., punched his assistant Dashiell Gable multiple times in the face, leaving him with a swollen left eye. TMZ shares that Rhimes fled the scene after the attack and Gable immediately called the police. Authorities and paramedics responded quickly and Gable was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
On Tuesday, January 14, Busta Rhymes voluntarily turned himself in to the NYPD and was reportedly issued an appearance ticket for assault, attempted assault and harassment. A bench trial ticket means Rhymes must appear in court on a set date to face the charges.
So far, Busta Rhymes has not responded to the allegations or commented on the incident.
