Candace Dillard says Alison Holker didn't protect the witch's legacy

“Real Housewives of Potomac” beer Candace Dillard not happy with how much the widow of Stephen “TWitch” Boss, Alison Holkersaid of him in a recent interview.

Holker shared that she discovered her late husband's drug addiction when she found a large stash of the substance hidden in his shoe boxes.

The discovery saddened Holker, who never knew tRagan, to whom she had been married for nine years, and struggled with so much that she didn't know about it.

The witch died by suicide in December 2022. He was 40 years old.

On Tuesday, Dillard commented on the post he posted PEOPLE magazine to X for Holker's interview in which she revealed how she discovered tWitch's drug addiction.

The TV personality was unhappy that Holker had revealed so much about her late husband and felt she was not protecting their children or his legacy.

Dillard's wrote“I won't even say it. But this white woman does everything except her black children and her black husband's legacy. She could have kept that in her therapist's office. SMH.”

A fan responded to Dillard's post suggesting that Holker may have used her interview to raise awareness about mental illness or drug abuse.

Fan wrote“I wouldn't but is it possible that her intention is to make people aware of mental illness/drug use, recognize the signs and remove the stigma? I just hope she was guided by his family first. That doesn't make it any easier for any of them .”

Dillard's though answered to a fan's comment stating that Holker should have relayed her findings to a Black-owned news outlet.

She wrote, “She (Holker) could have just taken this story to Essence or Ebony, where she would have taken care to share such a tragically intimate story about the plight of blacks against themselves.”

Dillard's comments come after Holker gave an interview PEOPLE magazine, making a shocking discovery about her dead husband on one of the hardest days of her life.

She shared that she found a “cornucopia” of drugs, including pills, mushrooms and “other substances” that she had to search for on her phone. The drugs were hidden in tWitch's shoe boxes.

Holker recalled, “I was with one of my really dear friends and we were cleaning out his closet and picking out an outfit for his funeral.”

She added: “It was a really exciting moment for me because I found a lot of things in our closet that I didn't know existed. It was really upsetting to find out that there was so much going on that I had no idea. (about).”

Holker said figuring out what she found out was a “really scary moment” in her life. Still, it helped her realize that tWitch “went through so much and hid so much, and there was definitely a lot of shame in that.”

According to Holker, she and tWitch were honest with each other, including about his marijuana use. However, when she combed through his journals after his death in search of clarity and closure, she made a discovery he kept painful secrets away from her.

She said: “He was struggling with a lot of things inside himself and he was trying to self-medicate and deal with all these feelings because he didn't want to put it on anyone because he loved everyone so much.”

Holker also shared that tWitch referenced being sexually abused by a man as a child, adding, “He didn't want other people to take on his pain.”

Although Holker felt betrayed after discovering the Witch's secrets, she gained new insight over time.

She said: “Reading Stephen's journals and even going back to the books he had read and the things he highlighted and highlighted really gave me a better idea of ​​where he was in life and the things he was struggling with that made me feel for him. to feel great empathy and sadness for all the pain he was holding.”

Holker's interview comes ahead of the Feb. 4 release of her memoir, This Far. The book describes her journey of healing after the death of her husband.

During the interview, she expressed her desire to save even one person who is struggling in silence by sharing tWitch struggles.

She said: “It was really hard to put all the pieces together. In some of the discussions, even with friends and the things that have been said when you read his diaries… you realize that he went through a lot as a child and never faced it.”.

Holker added: “It's hard to imagine that he never opened up to anyone and wanted to face it, deal with the other side. I really hope that people who are dealing with the same thing will help you come out of the shadows and (know) you'll be okay.”

tWitch shared three children, Wesley, 16, Maddox, 8, and Zaya, 5, with Holker.
