Charles Murrell receives $2.7 million for Patriot Front attack

In July 2022, an unhoused street musician named Charles Murrell was attacked on the streets of Boston (no shock there) by a white nationalist group called Patriot Front. The non-melanated men allegedly threw the racist slur “tar baby” during their attack, according to NewsOne report.

According to WCVBFederal Judge Indira Talwani ordered that Patriot Front pay Murrell $2.7 million in damages, broken down as follows: $25,000 for physical injuries, $500,000 for psychological injuries and emotional distress, $230,000 for loss salary and damages, $2 million for punitive damages. Additionally, Murrell received an undisclosed amount to pay his legal fees.

This man has suffered and deserves every penny and some more bullshit.

“As I said in my testimony, it was one of the greatest realizations that death was something they were capable of,” Murrell said.

At the time of the attack, Murrell was homeless and remains homeless nearly three years later.

“I’m still trying to find accommodation. I’m still trying to find a sense of belonging in this country,” Murrell said.

NewsOne also noted that despite video evidence of the attack, no criminal charges were ever filed. Let Mark Marron, a spokesman for the Boston Police Department, say that there is still an “open investigation” into the matter.

Every one of these white thugs must be arrested and put in prison for as long as the law allows.
