Tuesday, January 21 TMZ released an exclusive report claiming Brown is suing legal entities for “fostering and publishing defamatory claims against him” with Investigation Discovery's documentary series “Chris Brown: A History of Violence.”

In addition, Brown alleges that the organizations made defamatory statements “even after they were provided with evidence that the statements were false.” Per TMZBrown has claimed that the alleged victim at the center of the documentary, reportedly identified as Jane Doe, has been “repeatedly discredited”. The singer reportedly noted that Doo's previous lawsuit against him has been found to be unfounded.

In addition, he has stated that the documentary centers on him being labeled a “serial rapist and sexual abuser.” However, he has never been found guilty of “any sex-related crime.”

Finally, Brown has accused organizations of “pushing an old narrative in the name of fame and fortune.” He is reportedly seeking $500 million in damages because the documents affected his “reputation, career and business opportunities.” Sixth page notes that the documentaries were released in October 2024.

If the lawsuit is ruled in Brown's favor, he has pledged to donate to the litigation for victims of sexual assault.
