Several months before the model Dale Haddon died at the age of 76, she appeared alongside Blake Lively a Vogue editorial shooting.
“What an amazing time working with the great @bazluhrmann on his classic film version, Catch the thief For the September issue of @voguemagazine,” Haddon wrote via Instagram in August. “Brilliant director and photographer Baz, enthusiastic, creative and inclusive, so much fun to work with!!”
She continued: “Loved working with the absolutely delightful, funny and mischievous @blakelively. Not only is Blake beautiful inside and out, she's generous to the hilt, tweaks my dress on set, adjusts my fabulous @cartier jewels (and) makes sure I 'shine' during the shoot!
Haddon was still praising Vogue icon Anna Wintour for “pulling off this exciting project” with all the “tremendous talent,” including Lively, 37, and Hugh Jackman.
Haddon died four months later on Friday, December 27.
“The bright light that is Dale has dimmed in this Earth realm. I have no doubt it shines as bright as ever somewhere where it is most needed. Haddon's daughter, Ryan, wrote via Instagram. “She was a woman in her power, yet gentle and attentive to everyone. Deeply creative and curious, gifted with beauty both inside and out. Always kind and thoughtful. “
The 53-year-old journalist added: “In conversation she could reach the deepest places and also rise to the highest heights of spiritual understanding. She lifted so many, saw their greatness that sometimes hides from them and always built bridges with her connections to help them rise. She was everyone's greatest champion An inspiration to many.”
Ryan, whom Haddon shared with an ex-husband Glen Souhamelaborated on how she planned to honor her mother's legacy moving forward.
“I always trust the timing of things. There are no accidents and of course how we enter and exit this world is mysterious and unknowable,” Ryan wrote in his upload. “She was a warm spiritual being who valued the evolution of her soul so I know her journey here in this dimension was complete. I bow to her. I saw her as golden and always reach for the Light in all areas of your life.
Ryan reshared her post on her Instagram story with the caption, “Rest in the light mom. I am so grateful for this beautiful need and to be her daughter for life.
Haddon had been found unconscious inside Ryan and husband Mark BlucasPennsylvania farmhouse after suspected carbon monoxide leak. The police investigation is ongoing.
