Dave Grohl supports families displaced by wildfires in rare appearance

Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Jamie Lee Curtis and more stars give back amid LA wildfires

Dave Grohl found time to be a hero on his birthday.

THE Foo Fighters the frontman stepped out for a rare appearance on Jan. 14 — which marked his 55th birthday — to help those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.

Dave gave back to the organization Feed The Streets Los Angeles, which prepared and served meals to inmate firefighters, frontline workers and displaced families following the wildfires that have ravaged Southern California since September 7. January.

In a video posted by the organization on Instagram, the “Best of You” singer is dressed in his signature black t-shirt, jeans and hat as he stirs a giant pot of chili. In another clip, Dave is seen walking down the street with a handful of meals that needed to be distributed.

Dave previously worked with the organization to feed the unhoused population in Los Angeles, the former Nirvana The drummer uses his free time – and his barbecue skills – to prepare meals for those less fortunate in February.
