Bruce didn't think another great love was in store for him after his divorce from Demi, until he met a Malta-born model. Emma Heming at the coach's gym they shared in 2007.
“I have spent the last 10 years single and, for the most part, unhappy,” said the Die hard the star said W in 2009. “In a dark place. I never thought being with someone else was the answer. I was like, 'I'm alone, but I'm not alone.' But I was just deluding myself.”
After he started dating Emma, who is 23 years his junior, “on a daily basis, my life became a lot happier.”
They were married on March 21, 2009 on the beach at their home in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Along with Rumer, Scout and Tallulah, Demi was there with her then-husband. Ashton Kutcher. (They separated in 2011 after six years of marriage.)
Marking 17 years together on December 29, 2024, Emma, who has been candid about struggles with her husband's health…job about the “unconditional love” that fuels it.
“I feel lucky to know this, and it’s because of him,” she wrote. “I would do it again and again in a heartbeat.”
After Bruce was diagnosed with aphasia and, months later, dementia, Emma co-founded supplement company Make Time Wellness, focused on brain health and prenatal wellness, and launched the Make a podcast about time.
“It's important to use our voices,” Emma told E! Current events in 2023, “because through action, awareness and conversation, it creates change”.
