Whenever Drake is in drama, Akademiks isn't far behind, ready to fight for his boy. It doesn't matter that the current issue is about a Pulitzer winner like Kendrick Lamar or Drizzy (allegedly) criticizing his former friend LeBron. The baseball player has not publicly responded to the “Fighting Irish Freestyle” nuance. Yet fitted cap Tasha K defended Drake's honor by dragging Bron through the mud.
DJ Akademiks Backs Down on Blatant Foul Against LeBron: 'This Shit Isn't Real'
Now the internet firebrand is responding to calls to shame the married GOAT. Maybe this time the intimidation (and possibly the threat of legal action) is working. Social media has trained Akademiks harder than Rocko's open-concept hairline. During a live broadcast, Kai Cenat asked the podcaster not to smear his favorite's name. HipHopDX reports that Akademiks admitted he was wrong in apologizing to the Olympic star.
“I’m fucking with Bron. I feel a little bad. I went back online and was like, “Yo, I see so many people mad at me. If you all want to accept everything I said was a cap, I’ll go for it,” he said.
“We love LeBron. He is one of our national icons, so we must preserve his legacy. All I said was cap, this shit ain’t real,” Akademiks continued.
After weeks of seeing a certain Certified Litigious Boy appear in court “back to back”, one would think that Akademiks would not risk a possible defamation suit. Several comments online mentioned that this seemed to have far more serious implications than infidelity. Yet he was determined to collapse last week.
Even with their apologies, the Akademiks doubled down on their claims about LeBron's insignificant record. He claimed Drake was one of many who “half-heartedly told” the All-Star's alleged infidelity. Is it “Oochie Wally” or “One Mic?” »
As BOSSIP previously reported, Drake's hypeman claimed the rapper revealed he gave LeBron a steady “supply” of snow bunnies during his time in Toronto.
“Yo LeBron, I talked to enough hoes in Canada. Maybe Drake will continue to tease him (but) let me just tell you what I heard. LeBron, you and Drake used to play as a pair, okay? You cheated on your fucking wife,” Akademiks claimed.
“Drake used to facilitate the s**t (…) He used to provide you with the sluts. I’m sorry, my nigga,” he continued.
Not only did he spill that supposed tea, but Akademiks said Drake had every right to call out LeBron for enjoying “Not Like Us.”
“If I'm Drake, I'll report you too. Sorry, buddy. You can't do that. You are living a lie. Everyone thought you were the perfect guy, but when you come to Canada, I know some women,” he said.
“When you come to Canada, you visit certain places. I provide you with the white women you love. You don't even like black girls. (You like) white women. I’m the guy,” Akademiks added.
Phew, things are getting complicated behind those podcast microphones! With friends like DJ Akademiks, who needs enemies?
