On Tuesday, January 21st, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez of the Harris County Sheriff's Office went to Xwhich used to be known as Twitter to share news with citizens. Gonzalez explained that earlier that morning, his office “received a 911 call” reporting “an adult woman and two infants lying on the sidewalk.”

“Deputies responded and determined the babies to be 2 months old and 1 year old,” Sheriff Gonzalez claimed his the original tweet.

Per USA todayWhen authorities arrived, they reportedly found an “open alcoholic beverage” near the mother. The Sheriff's Office then reportedly contacted the Harris County District Attorney's Office.

In addition, the district attorney's office reportedly “accepted child endangerment charges against the mother.”

Finally, the outlet says the winter storm was “once in a generation” weather that brought at least two inches of snow to the area.
