Last December, the nominees for the 2025 Golden Globes have been revealed, and the the annual celebration of film and television is finally here.
On the cinema side, Emilie Pérez is the most nominated film with 10 nods followed by The Brutalist with seven and Conclave with six. As for the major television competitors, The bear leads the pack with five nods followed by Only murders in the building And Shogun with four each (see the full list here).
For some nominees, the 82nd annual awards ceremony, hosted by Nikki Glasermarks another opportunity to go for gold. For others, this is the first time they have been in the running for this honor.
Take WickedIt is Ariana Grandewho debuted on the Golden Globes nominations list with her nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture. Adam Brody is also nominated for the first time, with his role in Nobody wants that allowing him to win the category Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy.
Fans will have to wait until the big night to see who takes home the award when the 2025 Golden Globes air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on January 5, 2025 starting at 8 p.m. EST.
