Gunna's legal team defended the Atlanta rapper against the whistleblower charges and suggested his detractors get over it.

With 2025 fresh on the calendar, the tired topics of 2024 still seem to find their way into discussions. After the release of Lil Baby BANG with Young Thug's first verse after prison, the chatter is back to the forefront. The rap about whistleblowing shouldn't immediately attach to anyone, but once again, Gunna is back to fight the allegations.

During the YSL RICO trial, Gunna accepted a plea from Alford that would not be used against Young Thug in his case. Additionally, an Alford plea allows someone to maintain their innocence without police cooperation.

Even though Young Thug is back on probation, the allegations still haunt Wunna's public image.

According to ComplexGunna's lawyer, Steve Sadow, is exhausted with fake outrage and is fighting all the snitch stories.

“Gunna was NOT cooperating, did NOTHING and said NOTHING that would harm Thug's case,” Sadow said in an X post. “He spent eight months in prison and was released in December 2022 after pleading with Alford. Gunna's plea could not and was not used at Thug's trial and he was never even called as a witness. He was sentenced to five years in prison, suspended, with no reporting, no travel restrictions, no life restrictions, AND NO PROBATION.

Sadow directly addressed those who continued to “talk bad” about Gunna, telling them to “get over it” in response to the allegations. The majority of the world understands perfectly well that Gunna did not speak out, but the streets will eternally debate the situation until the end of time.

We shouldn't expect to hear new music from Wunna and Lil Baby in the future, but hopefully Thug will clear things up eventually.
