Kevin Costner celebrated his 70th birthday by honoring his friendship with the late icon, Whitney Houston.
THE Yellow stone The actor shared a sweet photo of himself and Houston on the set of the 1992 romantic thriller, The bodyguardand reflected on how much he missed his former co-star. “This photo reminds me how lucky I am to have another birthday,” Costner captioned the Jan. 18 post. “We lost such a light when we lost Whitney.”
The photo, originally published on the Instagram account of the late singersees the two actors pose with the Houston hairdresser of the time, Ellin LaVar. His estate, which manages the account following his death in 2012, wished Costner a happy birthday in the caption, to which he responded with a heart emoji in the comments.
The throwback photos didn't stop there. Costner also celebrated his 70th birthday by sharing a baby photo of himself dressed as a cowboy.
“Thanks guys for the birthday wishes. I pursued the cowboy life as soon as I could walk, and I still do today,” he said. wrote in the caption, a nod to his four-year stint as John Dutton in Yellow stone and its sequel Horizon movies. “It’s another year of staying focused on our dreams.”
