Hugh Jackman's ex Deborah Lee Furness chooses joy

The Wolverine star's ex-wife has been spotted out and about several times in recent weeks following their split.

Deborah-Leigh Furness' performance has sparked scrutiny, with some suggesting she looks like she's “having the best time in the world” and is doing “well”.

It's been over a year since Hugh Jackman and Deborah-Leigh Furness announced the end of their nearly 30-year marriage.

Since the split, rumors have swirled that the Wolverine star was romantically involved with Sutton Foster while still married, which may have caused significant damage to Fearns and was key to ending their marriage.

Now body language expert Patti Wood has told USA Sun that Furness seems to have let go of the pain and is now focusing on life for himself.

Analyzing, Wood noted that Fearns appeared carefree, with a “great smile on her face” and “no tension in her hands or face” as she was spotted riding a scooter around New York City on November 18.

“You have to be very centered and balanced to ride a scooter, which she is,” the expert added about Ferns' outing.

Wood also pointed to other recent public appearances by Ferns after her divorce.

She noted that the actress looked “happy” as she attended the Australian Open on January 14 with her daughter Ava, 19.

“She looks like she's having the best time in the world. She's letting go, saying, 'I'm just going to be in the moment and embrace my joy.' And it looks real, not fake,” analyzed the body expert.

Wood also pointed to how upbeat Furness looked when she appeared at the US Open on Sept. 3.

“She has a wide-open smile, an energetic smile,” observed Patty. “Her hand in her pocket shows that she's feeling a little defensive, but overall she's not uptight.

According to the book's author, all these signs point to the fact that Ferns is “doing well” even during her ex's new romance.

While Ferns doesn't seem to have been involved with anyone since her split, Jackman has been very public about her romance with Sutton Foster.

Earlier this week, the pair were spotted working on a heavy laptop while waiting in line at a fast food joint in San Fernando.

According to reports, they spent time locking lips intensely, with Foster Lovely caressing the Wolverine star's face while he hugged her.

The pair were also seen sharing a deep kiss while sitting in the White Range Rover that Jackman drove to the location.

They were previously photographed walking hand-in-hand during a dinner date in Santa Monica, California. During the outing, they exuded affection and smiled sweetly at each other as they walked down the sidewalk.

The new sightings of the pair appear to confirm earlier rumors that they have discussed going public with their affair.

According to the insider, Jackman had also promised Foster that “he would focus on exploring their future together.”

Apart from Jackman and Foster's recent romantic sightings, the 'Deadpool and Wolverine' star had taken steps in the past to show his new beau his intentions towards her.

The actor is said to have met Foster's adopted daughter, Emily, and she approves of him.
