I'm really selfish and needy!

Kody Brown is past the stage of denial.

In the latest episode of Sister Wives, the family patriarch was cutting down trees on his Arizona property when he stopped to think about what life is like now that he's monogamous.

(Not by choice, of course; Christine, Janelle and Meri Brown have all left Kody in the last two years.)

“So there's a new rule that Robyn has made and since I'm monogamous, it's my wife who gets to make the rules, right?” » Kody said, brimming with sarcasm. “So she said, 'Don't let a tree fall until you have removed the last tree that you dropped.'”

It's pretty obvious that Kody isn't a fan of his newest situation, although he recently proposed to Robyn again.

However, impressively, Brown did looks like he's a fan of Christine having left her husband David Woolley, whose marriage was recently featured on Sister Wives because the show was filmed quite a long time ago.

“I’m really excited for her. I only met David once, and all I can understand is that it moved pretty quickly, but sometimes you know,” Kody said on air Sunday night.

“I hope they are happy. And I hope that one day the time will come when we will just be comfortable with each other.

That day hasn't come yet… knowing that the exes will soon face each other in court.

Kody even admitted in this episode that Christine “left with a purpose” because she “wanted to find her soul mate” and his main response took the form of glory.

After his trio of semi-recent breakups, Kody said there's now “a lot of water under the bridge and it's not all bad” when it comes to the women who are no longer with him.

Yes, it was “difficult,” he added, because polygamy was “pretty good,” but the focus now is on Robyn and their children.

“It feels like it’s a really different world, the world I have with Robyn and our kids. It's nice, it's pleasant, it's beautiful. It’s small,” Brown said in a confessional, showing some self-awareness by adding:

“I have to admit it. I think I need a lot of attention. It's different being in a place where I don't get as much attention.

As previously stated, Kody is not close to most of his sons and daughters.

He seems to think this is due to their disdain for Robyn.

“My children will always be my children and the door will always be open to them. They have to go through that door,” he said, sounding like a pompous a$$.

“I'm going to reach out for this, but I'm going to hold this hand that's next to me, and I'm not letting go of this hand. I'm not going to cut Robyn off from having a relationship with my kids.

Earlier in season 19, Janelle pointed out that Kody's marriage to Robyn was NOT the reason he was separated from his children.

“Kody has this idea that somehow if he leaves Robyn at home, he'll be able to come to these family gatherings. And that’s so far from the truth,” she said in an episode broadcast in early December.

Janelle said at the time that her ex was “alienated from 90 to 95 percent of his children.” He's not really sought after at events. He won't come, no matter who he brings with him or not.
