Jack Nicholson, 87, seen in rare photo with daughter Lorraine

The 87-year-old, who has not been seen in public for almost two years, made a rare and heartwarming appearance with his daughter. Lorraine Nicholson in a recent vacation photo review.

In a photo of her on January 2 Instagram post, the 34-year-old was seated next to the triple Oscar winning, wrapping her arms around her father's shoulders as he squeezed her arm and leaned towards her with a small smile. Jack wore a multi-colored striped button-down shirt while Lorraine wore a long-sleeved black top.

The couple shared a warm embrace as they sat in what appeared to be his office, as they stood in front of a bookshelf that housed Jack's multiple Oscars, Golden Globes and countless other accolades throughout his career.

For Lorraine, her close bond with her father played a role in her decision to become an actress.

“He’s my mentor,” she said Us every week in 2011. “I went into the family business because we are very close and he is such an inspiration. I admire him so much.
