James Kennedy has broken his social media silence following his recent domestic violence arrest.
In December 2024, authorities were dispatched to the “Vanderpump Rules” star's home, where he lives with his girlfriend, Alia Luber, after receiving a call about an argument between a man and a woman. Police reports say Kennedy was seen grabbing the woman. However, operatives indicated that no injuries were visible at the scene.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Kennedy shared a photo of his dog Hippie, followed by a picture of nine Alcoholics Anonymous chips with the words “Keep coming back.” The reality star has been vocal about her sobriety journey in the past and recently expressed her commitment to personal growth.
“I'm taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth and being present for my loved ones,” Kennedy shared on Instagram in December. “It's not easy to navigate difficult times, but I'm determined to learn, grow and move forward with the incredible support system around me.”

Kennedy's struggle with alcohol is well-documented on “Vanderpump Rules.”
“Quitting drinking was the best decision I ever made and I'm strong. I don't miss the drink …… I don't miss the feeling…. James Kennedy arrested on DV charges
However the recent arrest has cast a shadow over Kennedy's progress. According to police records, the woman involved told authorities that Kennedy “picked her up and threw her to the ground.” After his arrest, Kennedy was released on $20,000 bail and his legal team issued a statement Us Weekly:
