Jason Tartick could have been Erin Lichy for his podcast, but fans were quick to assume he was interviewing his ex-fiancée, Caitlin Bristow.
“Want to know what happened when I reposted your story?” Tartik, 36, asked Lishi, 37, on Monday, January 20 “Trade Secrets” podcast. “A lot of people were like, 'Oh my God, I thought this was your ex-fiancée.' I didn't realize it, but one picture I posted looked like that. I was like, 'Oh…'”
Tartick explained that he doesn't think Lichey and Bristow, 39, “actually look alike”, but his reaction to one photo was: “Oh my God.”
“They thought you were interviewing your ex-fiancée?” Lychee asked, to which Tartik replied, “They're like, 'I just had to triple check.' I'm like no. Because it would have been an interesting interview.
Tartik and Bristow announced in August 2023 that they had called it quits two years after their engagement. The pair went on to offer insight into their split, with Bristow hinting that Tartick had a “victim mentality” following their split.
“I don't want to deny that he's hurt. I don't want to deny that his feelings are real and his feelings are hurt,” she said on a January 2024 episode of the Off the Vine podcast. “I've been so open and honest with him. We have been so transparent with each other to respect each other.
After Tarticus went out with his girlfriend at the time Kat Stickler months later, Bristow appeared to weigh in on the relationship. “People make me sick,” Bristow wrote in various Instagram Story posts in June 2024. “What people will do to get attention is what drives me off the internet forever.”
Tartik and Stickler, 30, have since split upannouncing their decision to divorce in October 2024 after six months of dating. Bristowe, on the other hand, sparked romance rumors with Zack Clarke on New Year's Eve 2023 – and rumors that she was unfaithful to Tartika were quickly silenced.
“You'd think I'm used to the hate by now. I'm not. Your words hurt. Your shaming hurts. Part of me feels a little sad and honestly embarrassed for you guys because this is not how you should spend New Year's Day,” Bristow wrote on his Instagram Story in January 2024. “You shouldn't even know or respect it, and I know that looking inside you could be even scarier. But bullying is next level. You are allowed to express your opinion and feelings.”
She continued: “But you don't even know the truth and your HATE should actually have consequences. I'm really worried about your mental health. It's not okay. It is. It's not. Please. Please feel ashamed for treating someone like this. , who you don't know. I had a party with some of my favorite people. Not me.”
In a separate post, Bristowe directly responded to the rumours, writing: 'Here to say there was never any cheating and I will not support these rumours. You are all NASTIES here. Anyone. I swear on my dogs lives. There was no cheating. So we can just put it to rest. Thank you!! Happy new year everyone. Go donate blood or something!”
