Jennifer Lopez divorce leaves Ben Affleck out of 2024 remake

In the mash-up video, the actress showcased only special moments from her year, including cover shoots, performances, premieres and award ceremonies.

Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from the “Accountant” star in August, and the duo is currently still mediating the divorce.

After quite a year, Jennifer Lopez took to her Instagram page to share moments from her life as a commemorative reflection of how she spent 2024.

The video montage featured events from the cover shoot, the performance, the premiere and the award show. However, the actress specifically left out her soon-to-be ex-husband Ben Affleck.

Even during segments of her documentary This Is Me… Now: A Love Story , Affleck was noticeably absent, even though the project was inspired by her romance with the actor.

By all indications, it was a deliberate omission by the “Atlas” star and signaled her readiness to leave behind the emotional weight of the ongoing divorce as she transitioned into the new year.

This was also suggested in one of the highlights, where she could be seen saying, “In my low moments, I've learned to just feel my feelings and then let them go.”

Lopez used the video to tell fans of her determination to reach new heights in the coming year, declaring: “The best is yet to come.”

Unsurprisingly, they responded with words of encouragement in the comments section, expressing their delight at what the singer has accomplished.

One fan commented: “Love you! It's been a tough year but we're so excited for 2025,” while another mentioned: “To an even bigger, better year! This is her… 2025.”

A third fan commented: “You did so amazing this year. I'm so proud of you. You are my great inspiration. I know 2025 will be your great year, but the best is yet to come!”

Another Instagram user commented: “The best is yet to come! It's been a rough year but you are UNSTOPPABLE! We love you so much and we're here for less on this recap. Let's get it 2025!!”

Another person wrote: “You really are unstoppable! Can't wait to see what you're going to do next.”

According to Daily mailLopez and Affleck met for lunch on the Sunday before Christmas at the members-only Soho House in West Hollywood.

The “Jenny From The Block” singer donned a cozy oversized jacket and baggy blue jeans for the date and reportedly exchanged gifts with the “Argo” actor despite filing for divorce in August.

On the same day, Affleck was also spotted picking up his son from his ex-wife Jennifer Garner's $7.8 million four-bedroom home in Brentwood Park.

This comes according to a source Sixth page last week that the exes “have every intention of continuing to be in each other's lives despite not being romantically involved.”

The insider added, “Ben and Jennifer are still in touch, and they communicate when it comes to their kids.”

Before the recap, Lopez hinted at her plans for the new year, which include “pushing creative boundaries and seeing where it takes me.” Daily mail.

Being a multi-hyphenate actress, the actress shared that these plans apply to all of her endeavors, “whether it's acting or music or producing or expanding JLo Beauty.”

She added: “I want to continue to challenge myself to grow and try new things while staying true to who I am and who I love.”

The actress already has several projects, including the release of the musical “Kiss of the Spider-Woman”.

Lopez also stars as an executive producer, and Bill Condon will direct the project. The film is scheduled to debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2025, although production wrapped earlier this year.

Earlier this month, sources close to Lopez shared that she is eager to turn a page on the past before the new year and is “focused on her life.”

“She's had a tough year, but she's doing well,” an insider told People magazine about the mother of two. “She's ready for Christmas and the new year to begin.”

This Christmas, Affleck and Lopez spent the holidays separately, as expected. Sources revealed that Affleck celebrated with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their three children, while Lopez reportedly celebrated with her sister Linda Lopez, producing partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, close friend Michelle Chiaravalle and their children.

The duo is still mediating their divorce after Lopez filed papers to end their two-year marriage in August.
