Cash Warren could come out richer after his split from Jessica Alba
Alba and Warren's marriage may have fallen apart, but a new report suggests the man of the house may be walking out of the marriage with a hefty payoff.
Chat with USA SunGoldie Shawn, a legal expert and certified family law specialist, explained that Warren could receive $2 million a year from Alba because the “Fantastic Four” actress owes much more than child support.
Shawn, who specializes in complex custody and divorce cases, explains that Warren's chances of leaving her 16-year marriage for a richer one would not be affected by the presence or absence of a marriage, especially because of the vast difference in their wealth.

While Alba co-founded The Honest Company, which is worth $609 million and was reportedly worth more than $1 billion at one point, Warren is a producer who has apparently not worked in the industry since 2015.
“Even if there's a marriage and she'll be able to keep what she owns, so the fairly profitable company Honest, that's not going to stop the issue of spousal support,” Sean told the news outlet.
She continued, “We've evolved around prenuptial agreements, and historically we've had some very large cases where prenuptial agreements have failed to terminate spousal support between couples who are about to marry.”

A change in the law that could favor Cash Warren and make him rich
The legal expert went on to explain a potential clause that could make Warren richer regardless of whether the marriage exists.
Shawn gave an example, noting that if a purported prenuptial agreement states that neither Alba nor Warren will receive spousal support, a court can decide that that clause is “reasonable and throw it out and still award spousal support the same way it would be done as if the marriage had never existed.”
She also suggested that the court could find that the alleged prenuptial agreement, which would have been signed 16 years ago and before Alba made millions with his company, is no longer reasonable.
Also, since their marriage is subject to California's long-term marriage rules, there would be no guidelines as to when spousal support should end.

“Spousal support would continue until someone passes or someone then comes back to court and tries to stop it, change it or end it,” she continued.
Shawn added, “Because it's a long-term marriage, the court basically has no right to say you're only going to pay spousal support for seven years. Eight years, two years, it doesn't matter. The only two people who Parties can reach that agreement.”
