Jonathan Lipnicki Clarifies His Claim That He “Moved Away” From Hollywood

Jonathan Lipnicki sets the record straight.

The former child star, who rose to fame in Stuart Petit And Jerry Maguire in the '90s — recently clarified that while he wasn't acting much in the late 2000s, he never “walked away” from his Hollywood career.

“Really, it was just going to high school,” he exclusively told E! News' Francesca Amiker. “I wasn't like, 'I'm walking away.' I still had my agent, I was auditioning here and there.

The 34-year-old said he changed his direction during this time, adding: “I played water polo in high school. I went to prom, did all the normal things. I played youth league sports. So yes, (acting) wasn't the only essential part of my life.

And while Jonathan said he had “really great parents who were there to guide him” throughout his public school experience, he admitted his schooling wasn't the only reason for his absence in the spotlight.
