According to ComplexWednesday, January 22 marked the second day of jury selection in Rocky's trial. Additionally, this date marked Rocky's last court appearance. According to the outlet, the rapper was joined by his mother and sister Erica B.

During the hearing, Judge Arnold reportedly asked about the new people present. In response, Rocky explained that they were his mom and sister, while his lawyer spoke:

“You can't tell who mommy is, can you?” Joe Tacopina reportedly told the judge.

Judge Arnold, on the other hand, shared a question with Rocky's mother.

“You must have had him when you were about 7,” he is said to have said. “…You are very beautiful. It is recorded.

Afterwards, Judge Arnold's comment to Rocky's mum has sparked chatter online.

Al Sharpton also makes headlines for appearing during the rapper's trial

According to Complexthe events of Wednesday's trial also generated additional headlines. On the same day, Reverend Al Sharpton hosted it Xformerly known as Twitter to share a lengthy report on jury selection in the A$AP Rocky trial.

It has been brought to my attention…that out of one hundred and six (106) people called to serve as jurors in A$AP Rocky's trial in Los Angeles, there are only 4 black people,” he wrote in part. “…It is absolutely ridiculous that a jury will not be fair and representative to deny A$AP Rocky a fair trial… I am monitoring this court and calling on the Los Angeles County District Attorney to ensure fair and representative justice. How Shadow room It was previously reported that Rocky was arrested and charged with assaulting an ex-boyfriend in April 2022. The alleged victim, Terrell Efron, also known as A$AP Relli, accused the rapper of intentionally shooting him with a gun and leaving him injured with bullet fragments.

Until now, Rocky has maintained his innocence. Most recently, he reportedly rejected a deal to plead guilty to an assault charge.

Per ComplexRocky's attorney reportedly plans to argue that the weapon the rapper is accused of using was actually a “prop gun,” or a malfunctioning weapon.
