Justin Baldoni claims Blake Lively took over Everything That Ends With Us to edit

Justin Baldoniin court vs The New York Times has further illuminated the apparent creative differences between him and It ends with us costar Blake Lively.

Baldoni, 40, is suing The Times for $250 million, alleging defamation and false invasion of privacy violations related to newspaper reports of Lively's sexual harassment lawsuit.

“The Times story relied almost entirely on Lively's unverified and self-serving narrative, taking it almost literally while ignoring the abundance of evidence that contradicted her claims and revealed her true motives,” the lawsuit states.

The suit alleges that the dispute between Baldoni and Lively37, comes from the actress' “calculated and audacious attempt to take control of the Film”. It also provided text messages from Baldoni, who directed the film, to the film's editors showing his frustration with Lively, possibly cutting her out of the editing process.

“She has now officially kicked me out of the movie,” Baldoni wrote. “She completes it all. I can't be involved. Sound of music VFX everything. I'll get through somehow. Just need to feel it all.”

The lawsuit states that Baldoni felt uneasy after Lively's allegations against him, which were initially brought up in a meeting that took place during production. Lively reportedly insisted on joining Baldoni on the set during the film's 10-week “protected” period. During this time, the director traditionally has private access to the film, editing it in his director's cut.

“As a seasoned professional with over twenty years of experience in the entertainment industry and raised in a family deeply involved in the industry, Lively was fully aware of the implications of her request,” the suit states. “In fact, her request clearly acknowledged that this violated Baldoni's 'protected period.' However, after the serious false allegations she made against the production, Baldoni (Wayfarer Studios) and Sony reluctantly agreed to grant her access to the editing section for two days.

Baldoni claims that the two-day period turned into 10 days and included time during which Lively tried to work on one editing floor. He also claims that she fired the film's editors and replaced them with her own choices, including one she made husband Ryan Reynoldsoften used.

In August, there was speculation that there was tension between Baldoni and Lively, who plays the love interest in the film adaptation. Colleen Hooverbook. That tension may have led to a rift among the film's crew, the source said Us Weekly at that time.

Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment in a complaint filed before the new year, claiming he created a “hostile work environment” on set. Baldoni's lawyer denied the “horrific” allegations, saying Lively was trying to “correct her negative reputation.” Lively officially sued Baldoni on Tuesday, December 31.

Following news of Baldoni's own lawsuit, Lively's attorney addressed the allegations in a statement released We.
