In a recent interview, Friedman shared plans to release text message receipts between his client and Lively in connection with the sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni.
Friedman's comments come three days after Baldoni filed the lawsuit New York timeswhich published a report about Lively's allegations against her costar.

Justin Baldoni's lawyer reveals plans to sue Blake Lively
During the interview, Friedman was asked if there had been a concerted smear campaign to bring down Lively, and he said, “100% no.”
Asked if he plans to sue the actress, Friedman said, “Absolutely.”
The lawyer also revealed plans to reveal text messages between Lively and Baldoni.
He said: “We plan to release every text message between them. We want the truth out. We want the documents out. We want people to make a decision based on the receipt.”

Justin Baldoni files lawsuit against The New York Times
Friedman said AND! News in a statement that the tabloid “bowed to the wishes and whims of two powerful 'untouchable' Hollywood elites, disregarding the journalistic practices and ethics of the once respected publication, using fabricated and manipulated texts and deliberately omitting texts that challenge their chosen PR narrative.”
Baldonia in the lawsuit against New York Times, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, he said the outlet “did not actually review the thousands of private communications it claimed to have obtained.”

Baldoni argued that if the tabloid had properly reviewed the statements, “its reporters would have seen incontrovertible evidence that it was Lively, not Plaintiffs, who engaged in a calculated smear campaign.”
The “It Ends With Us” director also argued that the newspaper made “false, cruel and deliberately concocted” claims when it published Lively's complaint.
Part of the Baldonis trial, which AND! News obtained, reads: “This lawsuit seeks to hold times responsible for his role in this defamation campaign, but the plaintiffs have not. There are other bad actors involved, and make no mistake, this won't be the last lawsuit.”

The New York Times Responds to Justin Baldoni's Lawsuit
On January 1, The New York Times answered to Baldonis' claim against them.
The outlet revealed plans to “vigorously defend against the lawsuit.”
It added: “It is the job of an independent news organization to follow the facts where they lead. Our story was reported carefully and responsibly.”
The paper also said its story was “based on a review of thousands of pages of original documents, including text messages and emails,” which were quoted “accurately and extensively” in the article.

Lively Files Formal complaint against Baldoni et al
When Lively filed her original lawsuit against Baldoni, she did so with the California Department of Civil Rights.
Defendants in the lawsuit were Baldoni, his production company Wayfarer, publicist Jennifer Abel, colleague Jamie Heath and “crisis management specialist” Melissa Nathan.
On December 31, Lively filed a formal lawsuit against the listed defendants in the Southern District of New York.
The actress' lawyers also spoke AND! News in response to Baldonis' claim against New York Times.
They said in a statement: “Nothing in this (Baldoni) lawsuit alters the claims made in Ms. Lively's California Department of Civil Rights complaint, nor in her federal complaint filed today.”
The statement continued: “While we will not litigate this matter in the press, we encourage people to read Ms. Lively's complaint in its entirety. We look forward to hearing each of Wayfarer's allegations in court.”

Lively's claims against Baldoni
Lively filed her initial complaint against Baldoni in December, alleging he sexually harassed her on set.
Lively also claimed that Baldoni hired a PR team to damage her public image.
However, Baldoni, through his attorney Friedman denied Lively's claims and described her claim as “false, cruel and intentionally cruel” and aimed to establish “her negative reputation”.
