Justin Bieber addresses his wife Hailey Bieber on Instagram

Justin Bieber I'll tell you once: it was hacked.

After the 'Baby' singer unfollowed his wife Hailey Bieber—with whom he shares a 5-month-old son Jack Blues– and subsequently sparked online drama for this targeted social media activity, he explained.

“Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife,” Justin wrote in a since-deleted Instagram Story on January 21. “It’s shit here.”

E! News reached out to Hailey's reps regarding Justin's social media activity, but has not heard back.

And while the 30-year-old quickly followed the Rhode Beauty founder, many of his fans thought the eyebrow-raising move was unintentional.

“It was 100 percent an accident,” he said. a fan wrote on Before Justin released his statement, “Justin Bieber just posted a sweet message to his wife and Hailey Bieber liked his photo yesterday.”

In fact, the “Yummy” artist — who is spending time with Hailey in Aspen, Colorado — recently sang his wife's praise in a Jan. 18 Instagram Story, writing, “The greatest wife I have and will ever know.
