Consequences don’t come with receipts. There is no return responsibility because it didn't fit. You break it, you buy it, and that's it.

When a group of Memphis, Tennessee police officers decided to beat Tire Nichols to death, they thought there would be no consequences. They were seriously mistaken. According to a new article published by Fox13Memphisone of these five bloodthirsty officers, Justin Smithalways seeks to dodge his reward, but the court is having none of it.

Smith's lawyers filed three motions for acquittal, and each motion received a finger from Dikembe Mutombo (RIP). Most recently, a federal judge denied both Smith's motion for acquittal and his request for a new trial. Smith was found guilty of obstruction of justice, but not guilty of deprivation of rights, willful indifference to medical needs and conspiracy to commit witness tampering. His legal team argued that upholding the obstruction conviction made no sense when all other charges had been dismissed. However, your honor didn't see it that way…at all.

“The evidence in this case not only fails to contradict the verdict, it strongly supports it. The government has presented a comprehensive body of evidence establishing defendant Smith’s guilt on count four,” the judge wrote. “The Court has twice already found the evidence sufficient when viewed in the light most favorable to the government, and nothing in Defendant Smith's current motion warrants a different result.”

That's a lot of legalese to say, “Kill rocks with flip-flops, pig.” » Former officer Justin Smith deserves the punishment, harm and ill will directed at him; he deserved it.

This all comes amid the second anniversary of Tire Nichols' death.

May he rest in peace.
