Kate Beckinsale Responds to Rumor She Kissed Ex Matt Rife at Globes

Kate Beckinsale asks to put an end to this rumor.

After a rumor began circulating that the 51-year-old and comedian Matt Rife-her ex from 2017- locked lips at Netflix's Golden Globes after-party on Jan. 5, Kate was quick to set the record straight.

“It is not true that they were kissing,” her rep said. People. “They were friendly exes who were having fun talking.”

Kate briefly dated the 29-year-old in 2017, when they were 43 and 21, respectively, after meeting through mutual friends and breaking up after about a year.

At the time, Matt acknowledged their 22-year age difference, writing – then deleting – on Instagram: “Age is just a number. Find someone you love and take their breath away…even if it means bending the cord to their oxygen tank. #LifeAlertTypeOfLove.”

After they split and after Kate left SNLIt is Pete DavidsonMatt issued a scathing response to the new relationship, telling his fellow comedian to “be careful”.
