Couple's star-studded bash follows Kerry's latest film The Six Triple Eight— which tells the story of the only colored unit in the Women's Army Corps of World War II — debuts on Netflix. And as the actress explained during the ceremony, it's a story that was meant to be told, and for good reason.
“The story is about this particular group of black women at this moment in history, but the film really resonates for anyone who has ever been underestimated or doubted,” Kerry said exclusively. Zuri Room on Live from E! : Golden Globes. “You see these women exceeding expectations in a very inspiring way.”
