Kristen Bell 2024 ends with a generous charity drive, making a significant donation to help individuals struggling with medical expenses.
The actress, best known for her role as Anna on Frozen, reached out to Instagram influencer Tommy Marcus (aka Quentin Quarantino) after he reached out to her with a direct message of support for those affected by the health care system's flaws.
Tommy Marcus initially suggested that Kristen Bell share a health-related GoFundMe campaign to raise awareness and funds for someone in need, and while he emphasized that there was no pressure for her to get involved, she eagerly embraced the idea and chose to go above and beyond.

Kristen Bell ends 2024 with an incredible act of charity
In posts shared by Marcus, the “Nobody Wants It” star expressed her desire to do more and pledged to donate $100,000 toward medical bills. She emphasized the importance of ensuring that funds reach those who really need help.
Marcus then suggested that Bell shut down each fundraiser on his Instagram page once it reached the halfway point, a suggestion Bell enthusiastically supported. Bell fulfilled her pledge by donating more than $20,000 to help a third-grade girl battling leukemia and nearly $25,000 to Murillo, a patient who is also dealing with the same cancer. This is just the beginning of Bella's charity efforts.
“Something's got to be done, and that's my something,” Bell said People magazine for their decision.

Marcus acknowledged that “on a certain level, it's sad that we have to do this” because they “don't have to raise and give money for Americans to get life-saving medical care, but unfortunately that's the reality.”
“We can't let people do it themselves when so many of us can help,” he added. “Until we can change the system, this is reality. And we can be helpful. And luckily, we also have so many people like Kristen and YOU who are willing to lend a hand in such an incredibly generous way.”.
He also spoke about the act to People Magazine, saying that he first contacted Kristen Bell “with the faint hope that she might share one of my fundraising posts, as she often does.”

“I never imagined that she would respond with a pledge of $100,000 to help me and the QQ community achieve change — that she would respond not with a quick answer, but with a real question: How can we use this money to do good?” he added.

Tommy Marcus opens up about charity
Having raised more than $30 million for charity, Marcus says that's a question that a lot of people tend to ask.
“I think that's a question that's on a lot of people's minds. Of course, it's for my audience, which has proven itself time and time again to be the most charitable community in the history of social media,” he said. “As an individual, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. But together, there's strength.”
Marcus continued, “I'm thrilled to combine significant individual donations with the grassroots funding my community is known for, and I'm confident our momentum will continue to grow, protect the vulnerable, and restore a sense of agency and hope to everyday Americans.”
Bell and Marcus raise $25,000 to support 3rd graders' fight with leukemia
Most recently, the duo raised $25,000 on a GoFundMe page to support 3rd grader Mila's battle with leukemia, and Bell matched the amount, bringing the total to $50,000. Marcus shared on his Instagram that they reached their goal in just 20 minutes.
“I know it's kind of sad that we have to do this,” Marcus wrote in another Instagram post with Bell. “We shouldn't be raising and donating money so Americans can get life-saving medical care, but unfortunately that's the reality.”
