Kylie Kelce has bled Philadelphia green long before she fell in love with the now-retired Eagles center Jason Kelce.
“You may have heard some stories about my intense fandom for (Jason's “New Heights”) podcast, but I figured the playoffs would be the perfect time to share with you all the things that happen watching an Eagles game at my house. Kylie, 32, said during the Thursday, Jan. 16, episode of “Not Gonna Lie.” podcast. “Before I say anything, note that I have a piece of wood to knock on in this segment because I'm superstitious.”
She added: “I can't help but feel responsible if I say something that could possibly be considered a no-brainer (and so) when you hear knocks, it's because I have to.”
After all, Kylie was born and raised in Philadelphia contacting 37-year-old Jason dating app Tinder during her senior year of college. She later said she had no idea he played for the Eagles when she swiped right. After getting married in 2018, they continued welcome three daughters.
Before Jason retired in 2024, Kylie attended every home game at The Linc, also known as Lincoln Financial Field.
“We usually didn't bring the girls (and) usually kept them at home except for one game a year,” Kylie said.currently pregnant with baby No. 4, continued. “They don't really like it, so it didn't make sense to drag them down there, to put them in a place that was loud and overstimulating. We made this decision some time ago.”
Since Jason's retirement, Kylie has mostly watched the Eagles via the TV in their living room.
“I'm the 'yell at the TV' type,” she quipped. “The other day I got in a lot of trouble with (my second daughter) Ellie because I was yelling during the game. … The girls usually hang out in the same room but don't always watch with me when I'm watching football.
Kylie's fandom reaches new heights whenever the Eagles are in the playoffs. (The team played in the divisional round against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, January 19, before battling for a spot in the NFC Championship against the Washington Commanders later this month.)
“Playoff Kylie is different than regular season Kylie because superstitions take over the whole day,” added the pregnant mother of three. “From the start of the day until the start of the game, I won't check Twitter (and) avoid most social media. I won't post on the day of the game — and that (started) when Jason was still playing — and still is.
According to Kylie, she “has to focus” and can't even have a conversation that doesn't revolve around the game.
“We have a job to do, and it has to be turned on and send so much power and energy,” Kylie explained. “I'm not going to change my ways, so if you do it with confidence. … Go Birds!”
