Tragically, there has been a fatal accident involving staff of Koforidua Senior Secondary School in the Eastern Region in Aseseaso.

The workers were on their way back to Koforidua after they attended the funeral of a colleague's spouse in Akwamufia, Asuogyamana District.

The driver of the school bus lost control after running his daughter to Aseseaso, causing the vehicle to overturn in a nearby valley. Firefighters and other security personnel had to intervene to rescue the trapped victims.

Currently, one person is suspected to be dead while two others are in critical condition and have been rushed to the Jilobo Government Hospital.

The devastating incident has cast a dark cloud over the school community and surrounding area as colleagues and families anxiously await more information on the welfare of the victims.

This incident highlights the importance of following strict safety protocols on the road.
