Actor Mark Blucas has previously been exposed tidying up his Pennsylvania country housewhere is his mother in law Dale Haddondied Friday, December 27.
“You know what's amazing, our house was built in 1711, you know, before George Washington was born,” Blucas, 52, quipped in a 2016 interview with Hallmark. Home and family. “It's a way to stay creatively stimulated when I'm not filming or working.”
He added, “We wanted to be closer to family, so we moved back to the East Coast to be near them. It's the only place in the United States that has this kind of architecture with old stone barns and old stone houses.
Blucas and his wife, Ryan HaddonMoved to Pennsylvania from California in 2012 after three years of marriage. Around that time, they also welcomed their eldest daughter together. (53-year-old Ryan also has two older children with her ex-husband Christian Slater.)
In addition to renovating the property, which offered all kinds of “projects of a lifetime,” Blukas and Ryan took in several four-legged friends.

“When we bought our old house, the to-do list was overwhelming,” he wrote Instagram in January 2023. “I didn't own a tractor yet, and to be honest, it wasn't on the list. That money was needed for other things. But I remember my dad saying, “You can't have a farm and not have a tractor.” My old man was never so right.
Blucas added, “As my DIY projects and historic home design and restoration business have grown, I've grown and added to my gear collection. From things I didn't think I needed to things I really couldn't live without. Right now rebuild the stone yard walls around the barn.”
Dayle died at the residence of Blucas and Ryan on Friday after a suspected carbon monoxide leak. She was 76.
“The New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company was also on scene and found high levels of carbon monoxide at the property,” the police report said. “Two paramedics were taken to Doylestown Hospital for carbon monoxide poisoning and one Solebury Township Police officer was treated at the scene. The Solebury Township Police Department is currently investigating this tragedy.
Dale is survived by Ryan — her daughter with ex-husband Glen Souham — and her four grandchildren.
“The bright light that is Dale has dimmed in this Earth realm. I have no doubt that I shine as bright as ever somewhere where it is most needed,” Ryan wrote via Instagram later on Friday. “She was a woman in her power, yet gentle and attentive to everyone. Deeply creative and curious, gifted with beauty both inside and out. Always kind and thoughtful. “
