Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Marklehas finally made its long-awaited return to Instagram.
The US-based royal wowed fans by posting a carefree video of herself on the beach to ring in the New Year.
Prince Harry didn't appear in Meghan Markle's clip as he was the person behind the camera filming the fun video.

Meghan Markle is making a grand comeback on Instagram

In the video, which was shared on January 1 with a growing number of fans of almost 400,000 at the time of writing, Meghan looked in high spirits as she ran to the beach with her long hair flowing freely behind her.
The mother-of-two wore a casual outfit in a long-sleeved white shirt dress and matching white trousers pulled up high above her legs.
As she approached the water, Megan crouched down and wrote “2025” on the wet sand with her finger, seemingly ringing in the New Year.
Although the former actress didn't make any remarks, she could be heard giggling as she ran off camera.

Her husband Prince Harry was reportedly the man behind the camera, helping to capture Meghan's stunning moment.

The account first appeared in late 2023, fueling rumors of the Duchess' return to social media
Before the ownership of the fast-growing Instagram page was confirmed, there was speculation that Meghan was planning to return to social media when the handle “@meghan” unexpectedly appeared in August 2023.
At the time, the account's profile photo featured pink peonies, reportedly Meghan's favorite flowers. However, the profile photo has now been updated to include a black and white image of Meghan laughing.
Sources have long confirmed Daily mail that the account belongs to the 43-year-old woman, because she “has never hidden that she wants to return to Instagram.”
In 2022, she hinted at a comeback during an interview with Cutouttelling writer Alison P. Davis that she plans to “get back on Instagram.”

The new Instagram account comes years after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex deactivated their joint @sussexroyal page in 2020 after stepping back from working royals.

Although the Duchess turned off comments on her new post, that hasn't stopped royal fans from talking about her return on social media.
During X, several individuals have shared different opinions about Meghan's big comeback on Instagram.
One person commented: “Meghan is back on Instagram, you (crying enmoji) 2025 is really our year (blushing emoticon).”
“Everyone, look at our good sister. Meghan really is back,” another person wrote, along with three crying emojis.
A third fan said: “Wait I'm panicking. Is that really Megan's Instagram???? Oh my god she got the handle 'Megan' too.”
Another royal fan wrote: “Meghan's haters are taking to Instagram so they can watch her every move…” as well gif of a person running at maximum speed.
Experts predict that the Duchess's new account could earn her millions
In 2023, when the “@meghan” account first appeared, several experts predicted that she would make a huge splash in the social media arena.
“I expect her to quickly become one of the most followed accounts on Instagram,” said social media expert Eric Schieffer, who has worked with the cast of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
He told Daily mail“You have celebrities like the Kardashians who can charge $1 million (£790,000) for up to one post promoting a product. There's no reason Meghan can't earn that kind of fee.”
Schiffer's sentiment was echoed by marketing expert Kent Moore, who once worked with the famous actor Sir Patrick Stewart.

He said: “I think she would instantly make the top ten highest paid influencers in the world. Her status is unique because she's a celebrity, an actress and a royal.”
Moore added: “Meghan could charge $1 million per post as an absolute minimum. That amount will quickly increase if her partnership achieves global coverage and traction.”
Meghan Markle will make a big splash in 2025

“As quiet as Meghan has been, she's been in the background working on her business endeavours,” an industry insider said. “Both the Netflix project and her brand will come out on the same timeline in the New Year.”
“It will be a good year for Meghan in particular; she has spent most of the year working behind the scenes to launch a project in the early months of 2025,” the source added.
