Meri Brown has a strong presence in the market.
But that doesn't mean the Sister Wives star likes what's been available so far.
As readers probably know, Meri and Kody Brown ended their marriage almost two years ago; not that they had a very healthy relationship even before this official announcement.
Fast forward to the present day and Meri is still looking for that special someone.
“The meetings were interesting. I'm dating someone, no one is exclusive at this point, ” Brown told Parade this week.
“It’s a little weird… I live in a small town that has a very, very, very, very small dating pool. So I have to spread my wings. Go to Vegas or Salt Lake (City)…
“I would love to meet someone organically in public, but I just don't know how to do that. It’s really hard,” she continues. “I hear people say that men don't talk to women anymore. They don't, you know?
“It must therefore be the woman who takes the initiative. And I'm like, I don't want that. If I have to take the initiative and be the boss, then I'm not interested. The guy has to do this.
Meri did I found a boyfriend early last year, but the relationship didn't last long.
For the future, she hopes to find “someone independent”. Someone who can treat me with kindness, honesty and respect, who can meet my energy. Probably big. I want a big guy. And also who my dog likes. And he loves my dog.
TLC viewers witnessed Meri and Kody's emotional farewell on season 19.
The exes aren't on bad terms, but they also don't communicate much these days.
To those who might want to ask Meri Brown out sometime? She detailed her ideal first date at Parade as follows:
“Fun, laughter and easy conversations. Dinner would be great, (a) movie would be great. Walking around the park would be awesome. I'm open to options.
“I feel like sitting down and having a conversation limits what you can do.
“When you're out and about and you're doing something, whether it's just a walk in the park or skiing, I don't know, whatever, you can kind of interact a little bit more.”
Brown has made it clear that she will not get back together with Kody and that the last two years have taught her some key life lessons.
“I'm learning about myself while I'm doing it, and I'm learning what I do and what I don't want, (and) what I want (and) I won't tolerate,” the star concluded reality TV show at Parade.
Sister Wives airs Sundays on TLC at 10/9c – and can be streamed on MAX, Discovery+ and more.
