Natalie Mordovtseva says she wants to help, but 90 Day Fiancé fans are not convinced.
Across Los Angeles County, thousands upon thousands of families fled their homes only to watch them burn to the ground.
Everyone wants to help. Donations are pouring in from across the country.
But Natalie's fundraising method is causing her to lose ground.
Is Natalie Mordovtseva 'trying to profit' from deadly Los Angeles fires?
This weekend, Natalie Mordovtseva visited Instagram to share an article, which you can read for yourself below.
“Seeing these fires and the impact they have had on my community has been heartbreaking,” people say repeatedly. 90 days » expressed the star of the franchise.
“A lot of you have asked about video chats,” Natalie claimed. “So I decided to auction off 10 spots and donate 50 (percent) of the profits to support wildfire relief.”
“Starting at a minimum bid of $150, send me a private message on my exclusive site with your offer,” Natalie then offered.
“Highest bids will be contacted to schedule a call,” she teased. “FaceTime rules will be sent via message.”
Natalie concluded her proposal: “I look forward to speaking with you and helping to make a difference during this difficult time. We love you, LA. Be careful.”
Is this just a scheme to enrich Natalie Mordovtseva?
Critics on social media were quick to hammer Natalie. Many are fans of 90 Day Fiancéand some were even other personalities from the TLC franchise.
They considered his suggestion. With the minimum bid being $150 and half of the proceeds being vaguely intended to “support wildfire relief,” some interpreted this as Natalie inviting people to pay her $75 or more for a conversation.
A 90 days Fan favorite David Toborowsky seemed particularly irritated by Natalie's post. And he made it known loud and clear.
In a comment under Instagram In a blog post about Natalie's proposal, David Toborowsky said: “She is absolutely a piece (of feces) trying to take advantage of this horrible situation.” »
He continued: “I've posted this in many places, but using his OF to trick people into video chatting for personal purposes is disgusting. I appreciate anyone trying to make money. I'm a Cameo but you use the lights and say 50% is unreal sorry but not sorry to pray for Los Angeles.
David emphasized in a later comment: “I don't blame anyone for trying to hustle. I'm not judging, but praying on people's good nature during a real disaster and acting like you care is one of the lowest things you can do. Just my opinion.
What does she have to say for herself?
According to Natalie Mordovtseva herself, she will not really make a profit after donating to help the victims of forest fires.
“The site takes 20 (percent), plus my manager, who schedules the calls and handles all the logistics,” Natalie explained to a critical commenter. “I pay taxes on everything.”
It's possible that this company won't help Natalie much. If so, it might be better to phrase it as a higher percentage of the profit people would feel more sympathetic. That said… English is not Natalie’s first language.
